Under the motto "Space is Performance", the award-winning Heidelberg Congress Center opened its doors on April 20, 2024. We are proud to have made a significant contribution to this impressive project with our expertise in interior design. Particularly noteworthy are the flexible and agile furniture solutions from westermann products which have taken the use of space to a completely new level.
In order to accommodate a wide range of event formats with flexible furniture, we developed the modular space companion system together with the design office wd3 especially for the Heidelberg Congress Center. This system enables the construction of spatial structures from large blocks thanks to its versatile application and assembly options. The individual modules, which rest on Xbrick®, offer spacious, stable seating or standing tables. In combination with other modules, rooms can be structured and zoned. These modules can be grouped to form work landscapes or lounge areas and used as seating, shelves or planters.

The building was designed by the architects Degelo in Basel. The Heidelberg Congress Center offers two halls, nine flexibly combinable conference rooms, a studio for live streaming and video production, and a show kitchen. Around 3,800 people can take part in conferences, symposia or meetings here at the same time.
